He's here! He's here! My new brother Chess has arrived.

See How Happy I Am |
The Shelter office called this morning to tell us that Chess was doing much better and we could go get him. So I dressed up in my DAWG FAN harness [it is Saturday and time for SEC football] . Mom got the other DAWG harness for Chess and off we went.
He was still at the vetty so that's where we went. When we got there the first thing we saw was a hedgehog! I thought, No Way - that thing is not coming home with me.
This is me and daddy waiting patiently for the little guy to arrive! We waited, and we waited and we waited!!!!!
I'm just sitting here keeping a close watch on him in case he needs anything. But, I think he's just going to sleep the day away.
Welcome home Chess! I hope you like living with Checkers... he's done a good job training the humans in the house.
ReplyDeleteCheckers!! I am so happy your back and with a new brother too.
ReplyDeleteI just love my brother, Weenie, and I'm sure you and Chess will have a terrific time too. Would it be OK if Mommy copied a few pictures of you guys from your blog or have yout Mom send us a pic so we can shout out to Blogville that you are back. We are so happy so are you came back.
A lot has happened in the last year. Some very tragic but lots of fun times too. You came back just in time for the Back to School Bash on Sept 12.

Checkers, I am so impressed and proud to call you friend. You are already being a very attentive and caring brother. Poor Chess, I am sorry that his privates are so sore and he has to wear that awful cone. Maybe you guys can play games with it, like you can try to toss a ball in there and he can fling it back or something. I will look forward to pupdates. Shih tzus are very nice and that was an excellent choice my friend.

It is pawesome that Chess is now at home!
ReplyDeleteIt will take some time for him to be fully recovered and to feel completely at home, right?
Take care
