Getting A Brother

Guess what?   I'm getting a brother!   His new name is Chess.     At first I wasn't so excited, but now that I've met the little guy a few times I'm really happy.  

He is a mess tho.   And, now an even bigger mess.   He was dirty and covered in fleas and a little skinny.  He also still had some brass on him and they had to take those off of him.   We went back this afternoon to  pick him up after his snipping, but the poor little guy had licked his stitches out!   YUCK!   So he had to go back to the vetty and has to spend the night at the vetty.

The girl at the shelter had to shave him down to get the fleas off, so he even looks worse than he did before -  He wouldn't let them get to his face though so he's still shaggy there.  Daddy says it will be weeks before he can be properly groomed - but we don't really care.

 This is me and mom going to tell the people at the shelter that we were going to save the little guy.  As you can see I'm very excited!   But now I realize this is probably the last time I'll have mom all to myself!

Here are some pics of him and me after his surgery - the guy is taking him back to the vetty.  I was just letting him know that it would all be okay.

Hopefully he'll be better in the morning and we'll pick him up.   I wonder if he'll have to wear the cone home!!!
