I'm Home - but that's the only good news.....

Mom picked me up around 6:00 - daddy had left my car seat in his car so mom did a big no-no and let me ride home in her lap. I was very happy for this - but mom knew better. When we got home I ate a little chicken and pasta and was happy for about 10 minutes - I even took time out to bark at the racoon - but then I went back to my bed and haven't left since. The doctor isn't entirely sure. They've ruled out gallbladder. My liver is still very small - but they don't really think that is the problem either but they did that ole Bile Acid Test just in case. They also drew a lot of other blood from me too and are sending it off. They X-rayed me again today and did ultra sound. It seems that my intestine was so filled with gas that they couldn't see a lot....so I guess mom will get stuck with another ultra-sound bill next week - Mommy is just hoping I get through the week-end without another trip to the ER - and I'm hoping the same cause I did NOT like being there all day without her.

this is me "feeling better" - not so hot huh?

keep keeping your paws crossed - cause I really need the power of the paw - I've now been sick for 10 days - this is NOT fun!!!!!

  15. We hope that a weekend cuddling with Mom will make you feel a lot better, Checkers. And we hope the tests show something that can be treated but not any biggies. Feel better, pal.

  16. Checkers we feel for you. Hope you're just tired from all the sick and will be up bouncing in a couple days. Glad they haven't found anything serious yet though and you did get to ride in your moms lap. Perhaps you will get to do that again, that's my favorite thing to do.

Just coming to check up on you - furry glad you are home with your peeps - I am amazed too that your vet doesn't know what's up yet so you can get some meds to make you feel better. We have many crossed paws and fingers and toes too and sending golden healing vibes your way.

  19. Pooh. Could it be nerves? May the power of the paw be with you!

Those ultrasound bills can be mighty high - oh, we know. We had to pay for two of them two Christmas ago and it turned out to be nuttin'!
