Pink Baby's Stay Will Soon Be Ending

Mom is a performing arts nut so she took Pink Baby to the Appalachian Ballet Company where Pink Baby told them all about her travels...They were listening intently to her.

These are some funky tables mom found at some artsy/fartsy store she went in

Neither Pink Baby or I were impressed

Pink Baby took off with hooman brother in his truck headed into Knoxville......She was hanging on for dear life -  he is NOT a careful driver -  I do NOT ride with him.

in honor of our buddy Bijou we went to the Bijou theatre for the evening show!!!!!

We took her to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame ........BORING!!!!!!!!

While at the UT Campus she went for a ride on that old hound dog....Dad looked for a Georgia Bulldog but all they had was that old Smokey!

She then climbed to the top of the Worlds Fair Sphere - she heard there was food up there and wanted to get some....mom thought she was going to have to call the firedepartment to get her down.

Finally we got back to Oak Ridge and to the Friendship Bell - which was a good place to end the day!!!!!!!!

Almost 100 - New Clothes & Pink Baby Sleeps

In just a couple more posts I will have 100 -  I have something special planned so you will have to stay tuned - 

Mom found someone to knit for me and to sew for me -  here are a couple of photos -  I haven't been very cooperative so they aren't great photos  - we'll try more when she feels better

 

This is from Diana Designs NY - she makes custom sewn doggie clothes -- This is a wonderful outfit and I promise to pose and let mommy get a better shot - the others are totally blurred.  Miss Diana is making more for me - and, shhhhhh  don't tell, but she's making a couple for Suzuki too. -  So visit Diana Designs NY on ETSY if you need new clothes.    Be sure to tell her Checkers sent you over!!!    she also made me a little bone with my name on it -  I've hidden it so mom didn't get a picture - maybe tomorrow!

You've seen pictures of one of the new beds I got in Nashville....this is the other one...it's REALLY cushy -  I tried sharing it with Pink Baby for a while -  but she felt safer with the other stuffies........wonder why?????

Here she's moved on to be with her friends where she feels safe and sound......

But now......she's back with the Checkers because she wants to go out tomorrow and those other stuffies won't take her anywhere....so she's kissing up to me!

Now- can you keep a secret?    I have something else VERY Special that I bought on ETSY - I can't show you a picture of it because it is for Suzuki and it's REALLY special -  she should have it in a week or so -  I'm sure she will post a photo and tell you what it means.......when you see it I will let you know which ETSY store it came from - just let me tell you that the lady did a really good job on what she made for Suzuki

Mom has finished her tea and proabably needs to go to bed - hopefully the rain will stop tomorrow and her throat will feel better and we can take Pink Baby someplace.  Daddy won't be around but mom and I can manage just fine!   And of course, the Preakness runs tomorrow so I'll make sure Pink Baby gets the 411 on all the horses so that she can help call the race!   I think we're going for the filly!

Paw It Forward and a little Pink Baby

Yesterday I got a terrific PAW IT FORWARD package from the Gennasus Gang -  It was very exciting -  Mom tried taking pictures but she's not sure if it's her or the camera - the photos are LOUSY -  

There were YUMMY treats and a toy -  which mom NEVER managed to get a pic of.....

Now for some PINK BABY news

Pink Baby & Mom were a little worn out from their partying....but Pink Baby had enough energy to make Mom a nice cup of tea for her sore throat

Pink Baby and I had a little play time together -  I'm not sure she realizes that she is a stuffie that I could tear up in seconds!

after playing Pink Baby and a couple of the stuffies decided it was time for a drink -  who knew that Pink Baby drinks it straight from the bottle!

mom is still feeling poorly with her throat and the sniffles so everyone may take it easy today -  also blogger is making it very difficult for mom to upload the photos and stuff so she's a little frustrated......

What a surprise I had when we got back to Oak Ridge and mom went to the P.O.   -  

There was a Paw It Forward package from Gennasus 

All the way from across the pond in England....I was a little tired from the Nashville trip and the partying with Pink Baby.....but, with a little help from mommy I opened my package and found a terrific little toy and some wonderful treats and a beautiful card.... 

 I will post photos from the package a little later - along with the  PAW IT FORWARD rules so that I too can  Paw it Forward!     Thanks to all the wonderful animals at Gennasus -

This week's TRUE COLOR  is Turquoise -  an opaque, blue-to-green  color -  

It is the color of the TIFFANY GIFT BOX

this is, of course, one of mom's favorite gift boxes -  when there is a turquoise box under the tree at Christmas or peeking out of Daddys' pocket any other time - it puts a smile on mom's face!

this is a bowl of mom's-it's kinda cool.....her friend Erme gave it to her...they're always sending each other gifts -  

when Ford reintroduced the Thunderbird they did so in Turquoise -  

this isn't mom's but she likes it

a lot of jewelry from the Southwest is Turquoise  -  

mom has a few pieces but she's not real fond of it....but her best friend, Erme, loves the stuff  so mom buys it for her if she sees something she thinks Erme might like.  

Mom's into dragonflies, it's her totem you know,  so she found this picture of a turquoise dragonfly.

Pink Baby and The Titans

Apparently while mom and I were napping Bijou called and spoke to daddy....it seems that Pink Baby is a Tennessee Titans fan......who knew????   She must be the only one!   Anyway, dad discovered it was Titan's Kids Club Day and he took her over to Baptist Stadium [again, who knew the Baptists had a stadium?]

First she got to ride along with the Mascot -  I don't know his name, I don't want to know his name....I don't give a flip about whoever he is or isn't....

Somehow she manuvered her way in with team members to the signing/greeting table and met with all the little ones seeking autographs....can you believe I missed out playing with all those little people???  

and then......she made the cheerleading squad team.........that's right, Pink Baby is a new Titan Cheerleader....don't tell mom but I think that's the reason daddy took her over there!

The people at the Country Music Hall of Fame were so impressed with Pink Baby that they added a Pink Baby Patch to Hank Jr.'s Monday Night Football Jacket......how cool is that?

she made a quick stop at the old Ryman Auditorium -  sadly they were locked up and she couldn't get in.

Pink Baby also stopped at the Parthenon - there were no Greeks in site!

Pink Baby will be traveling on to Oak Ridge later.....she may need a rest after all the excitement..and I think she might have a hangover along with mom.....

Riding The Rails With Pink Baby

Pink Baby has arrived in Nashville -  she had a long train ride but was well cared for by her personal steward Clennard....

She travelled in style in her own pullman coach

and was awakened with breakfast in bed

When she arrived at Union Station we stopped for a quick drink in the bar.....before heading out

we'll probably head out to the Country Music Hall of Fame or something before going back to Oak Ridge -  but she is quite tired and I am exhausted from all the waiting!!!  Women!!!  Honestly,  I wish they were all more considerate like my love Suzuki!

Pink Baby Is Coming

I've been a little busy the past few days - we're in Nashville - and I've been taking care of mom who has been more interested in the grappa than the camera - so not a lot of pics here -  

Pink Baby is on her way - we plan to pick her up later today at the famed Union Station here in Nashville -  before we return to Oak Ridge.....so keep an eye out for her arrival -
