They Let Me Go - & A New Friend

When dinnertime came last night they decided I was through being punished for running away so they put on my dinner jacket - which had a loop for a leash!! YUCK! and we all got into the Golf Cart with Livy driving! YIKES - She is getting pretty good at driving the cart after her incident with the tree and busted lip. We arrived safely at Daufuskie Crab where we met up with Livy's newfound friend, Ellie and her family. Note - Ellie and her family live on a sail boat and just sail around all year long - they are anchored on Hilton Head for a week and took the dingy over to Daufuskie yesterday

Ellie doesn't have a doggie and really wasn't sure how to hold me - but it was fine - I love being carried . Although Livy was a little jealous of Ellie holding my leash and carrying me - she did a good job of sharing....and we were all proud of her.

We had a really good time even if I had to stay on leash.

    Hi Checkers!! I've missed you! You ran away??? I did that too the other day....I ran into the woods and hid because I didn't want to get back in the car....from then on it was leash time. :( Looks like you have been having a great summer so far!

    My neighbor's dog once ran away for 3 whole days! Imagine that ...

    Riding on a golf cart sounds fun. That Livy sure is a living doll!

    Ellie and her family live on a sailboat? My mom says that sounds like fun, but I need me some squirrels to chase and I don't there there are any of those at sea, BOL!

    Where were you going when you ran away? Glad you were brought back to your humans safely! Those are some very cute pictures! The girls look like they had a blast at dinner. Did someone say dinner??? Mmmmmm

    Checkers, I am glad you got un punished! Sounds like you had a fun dinner with Ellie and Livy!!

    I would so NOT want to live on a boat. My mommy and daddy would be
    UNDERWATER the whole time scuber divin and I would be lonely with only bossy Bilbo to keep me company.

    Checkers I am glad that your prison sentence is almost over. Did you get bread and water? I ran away once and my Mom put me in my crate all by myself, which for me is like torture. I haven't run away since. I know how hard it is to stop running sometimes, but you must be safe Checkers. I hope you are having a good vacation. Get some rest, you are so lucky to have Livy to play with.

    Wow, looks like you are all having great fun!

    The little man's sister drove a golf cart in Florida last November and had a bit of a similar accident!! Her dad was not best pleased!!
