Help Out With Mom's Water Conservation Project

As most of you know Mom is always working on something - in addition to PUMPKIN FEST and HOLIDAY MARKET - she has another project going called PAINT A PICTURE FOR WATER CONSERVATION

Of course Mom has to figure out a way to pay for all this stuff that she does - so she applied for a Pepsi Refresh Grant - now we all know that PEPSI is all about the new generation - so their grant is really cool in that you only win if people - and doggies too - vote for it on FACEBOOK or by texting. You can vote often and you can do MEGA votes to with Pepsi products -

So I'm asking all of you to spread the word for Mom and to VOTE and help Mom EXPLORE THE IDEA THAT ANYPLACE CAN BE A GALLERY - because Mom agrees to "sing a song and dance a jig" to keep the team motivated.

Let's Feed the Doggies and Get Them Adopted

Well, after my post last night I had the brilliant idea to FEED the doggies and get them adopted instead of feeding the kiddies - Let the person who came up with that idea figure it out - I'm gonna feed the doggies.

SARG - our local rescue/foster care for shelter doggies - also comes to PUMPKIN FEST with a booth and all their doggies and kitties. They dress the up for Halloween and they join the parade. So I figure, let all the doggies from Blogdom and Facebook help those doggies and kitties out. There's a "DONATE" link - you can donate $1, $10 or even $100. Just think about it - if we tell all our friends and everybody donates a little bit - we can have pictures of hundreds of dogs on a BIG Banner - that the "Great Pumpkin" errrr.....Mom .... will pay for that says we support Shelter Animals.

It will be so neat - so please tell your friends.

The "Great Pumpkin" Created a special link on the Pet page for donations to the shelter - just so people don't think their donation is going to something else.....of course if you want to donate to kids you can do that too :-)

Be sure that after you make your donation you send us a 300 dpi photo of you and your name - send to info@revitalizeoakridge.org - The Great Pumpkin will need that to make the Banner - you need to get your photo in by 9/15 to be included on the banner

it's been a long time

It's been a long time since we were here letting all our friends know what's happening. Sorry - nothing too exciting! Mom's moving her office and has been leaving me at home - A LOT - I'm not liking that - but then, it's hot and at least I'm in the air conditioning.

There's a new doggie in the office. Yep - mom is sharing an office space with a lady that has a little dog named Sugar. She is a Yorkie - Peek-a-Poo ! Maybe she's related to me! Well, I'm going to be the dominant one in that office. You walk in she squats down then rolls over for belly rubs.....pretty neat trick but I'm not buying. She's only 1/2 my size so I just go over and sit on her!

Mom is busy getting ready for the Pumpkin Festival . She's trying to raise sponsor money now - some brilliant board member decided to have all free food for the kids - but didn't figure out how to pay for it - So now mom's scrambling. If you want to help her out you can go to the WebSite Pumpkin Festival and donate a couple of bucks. $10 will feed 5 kids. She's expecting about 1000 of those little two leggers!

She's also working on her Holiday Market - She's real pleased because she got TWO Media Sponsors for this event....so she will have lots of media coverage. YEAH MOM!!!! She's got that big 60" Christmas Tree that used to be in the lake at Dollywood and she has a real live sleigh that Santa will be sitting in for picture taking. She's also got carolers, and chestnuts and lots of new vendors. She is bound and determined that this will be the largest Holiday Event in East Tennessee within 5 years. Go mom! Go!

Of course, she's go Board Members who are mean and nasty. I keep telling her they are just jealous because they can't do what she does so they keep trying to stir the pot up. Karma! Karma! Karma!

That's what happening with us..........What are all of you up to? I heard that Tank was fighting with Sam and Pippen. Now he's concerned about the lack o food he's getting - and something about N. Dakota! Oh yeah and he is really HAWT! Well if he makes it to N. Dakota, tell him to stop and see my mom's favorite niece up in Minot. She's got a little two legger and a hubby that flys those big bomber planes -

Snow Day....again

Here we go again with the Snow. I'm pretty much over this stuff - lucky for me I only have to go on the deck - but there's like 5" of that white stuff out there! Since my legs aren't even 5" long it's a little hard for me to "do my thing"! I mean I'm already up to my you know what in the stuff so when I squat to go pee [Tank I'm not listening to you] I have sunk down in this mess.

This is the tree mom planted last year in our side yard...it too is sick of being covered in that white stuff!

Mom tells me that it was decreed by our forefathers in our constitution that the weather in the deep south is only allowed to dip below 40 degrees once every winter - and when that happens it is allowed to snow as long as it only lasts for about a day - maybe two....and that it cannot happen more than once each winter. Well, I'm here to tell you - it did it over and over last year and it's been doing it since early December - so I think I need to go up to DC and have a talk with those people.
