Thanks To Tank and a little more

I would like to thank TANK for the pawsome birthday party and for his generous donations to shelters - especially for the donation to S.A.R.G in my name.

We've had some really lousy weather here which has resulted in mom having massive headaches - that's the bad news - the good news is she's been home with me like she is supposed to be.
I don't know if she will ever get back to blogging regularly - but she is trying - She told me she tries to read blogs but often she is doing it on her phone and she's not coordinated enough to type replys on the phone - it's easy to twitter but not blog - I don't understand this - but that's her story and she's sticking to it.

Another pair of her shoes got chewed up this week - she blamed it on me, sweet little ole me!!!! - but I learned from Sasha that there is a Scarlet Puppynickel - going around doing mischievous things - so I'm blaming it on him! What do you think?

How Did I Get My Name?

It seems that one of my pals - TWIX - I think started the meme - "How Did I Get My Name?" --- well, mom's been pretty slow these days - but we're getting around to it - Mom saw my picture in a newspaper when I was a teeny-tiny puppy and fell in love with me. She told daddy about me and he agreed to drive to Kodak to see me - On the drive over mom said - he's black on each end and white in the middle - we'll call him "Oreo" - So, when they got to the breeder's house they saw me in the flesh - Daddy fell in love with me - and I was dubbed "Oreo" -

so, now you are wondering why isn't he called "Oreo" - I'm getting to that - when they got home mom went to get Livy - - then mom put me into a pocket book because I was so tiny and it was quite cold.........she and Livy went to the vet to get me checked out - when they asked for my name - Livy said "I think we'll call him Checkers" -- so that was it - I became Checkers and not Oreo -

Now daddy calls me TANK since I gained so much weight - I'm a whopping 11 pounds........hehehe - Speaking of TANK - don't forget to visit him on his special day tomorrow....

Hello Pup Friends - and Humans Too

HELLO-----yes, I am still alive - mom is just so busy that she barely has time for me it seems - and to top it all off she and daddy went to Atlanta for a wedding and left me - that's right they left me...But I got the best end of that deal because I got to stay with Susanne!!!! And I had a blast - although, there are no photos to prove it!!!!

Anyway - they got back last night and Livy was with them - HOORAY - and we did get some pics with Livy - so here they are

Mom said that when the weather gets cooler I can go with her on most days...The job is going well - so I guess that is good - The clinics are coming on board and people are enrolling their pets daily - even if only one at a time -

Mom promises to try to visit blogs this week and actually post comments - She does read them but she's not been commenting. Funny - she seems to manage to play Mafia Wars!!!!

Maybe we'll have a wordless wednesday post this week - I'll work on her.
